Long before Lori Loughlin's spectacular fall from grace for her part in the college admissions scandal, the actress had no ambition to become a star pupil and was more concerned with forging her path to stardom.

A newly-unearthed entry in Lori's 1981 high school yearbook paints a fascinating picture of the then-budding actress who was planning to quit education and head to Hollywood.

And it shows how she went through some stressful hurdles along the way, once turning down a chance to play the lead on 'The Blue Lagoon' - which instead became a career defining role for Brooke Shields - because she felt going nude would be too demeaning.

And now Loughlin will be going to prison after pleading guilty for bribing her daughters into USC as part of the college admissions scandal.

DailyMail.com has obtained pages from Lori Loughlin's 1981 high school yearbook when she was a student at Hauppauge High School on Long Island

Lori lamented about how 'hard' it was to act and model while going to school, writing, 'It's really hard work, everyone thinks it's all glamorous'

In her yearbook entry, she detailed how she turned down the leading role in the 1980 movie The Blue Lagoon because of nudity. Brooke Shields later got the part

Then 16, Lori was already starring in TV soap opera The Edge of Night while finishing her studies at Hauppauge High School on Long Island, where she was raised.

An entry in her yearbook, which DailyMail.com viewed via classmates.com, describes how she started out forging her path towards stardom with modeling gigs from the age of 11.

She stated: 'I modeled for many different department stores, and I also did some commercials. It's really hard work, everyone thinks it's all glamorous.'

Talking about how she tried to keep up with her studies while acting, she went on: 'Now I have a full-time tutor, and I feel that I'm learning more this way. I like being taught on a one-to-one basis.'

But she admitted it came at the expense of fun, declaring: 'I find it hard to have a social life, because I get up at 5:00 every day and get home at 7:30 at night. I have a tutor from about 7:30 to 9:00, from then I have to memorize my lines. Then, I can finally go to bed.'

Lori also detailed how she turned down the lead role of Emmeline Lestrange in the 1980 movie The Blue Lagoon — which told the story of teenage love and sex on a tropical island, co-starring Christopher Atkins.

She insisted it was because of her reluctance to go nude, stating: 'I decided on my own, that my reputation was worth a lot more.'

Lori's entry also reveals she had a private drama coach and idolized actress Sally Fields.

'Even though my life is a very hard one, I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing than acting,' she added.

'I love the cast that I work with, they are the nicest group of people.'

DailyMail.com also obtained yearbook photos of Lori's fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli as a sophomore and junior at Birmingham High School in Encino, California

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli (pictured last year) on Friday pleaded guilty to fraud in a Zoom court hearing that media were allowed to dial in to but could not photograph or record

Photos in the yearbook show Lori posing in a fresh-faced snap wearing a pair of heart-shaped shades, plus another shot where she can be seen acting on the small screen as a youngster.

The actress - who was born in Queens, New York - appeared in The Edge of Night between 1980 and 1983.

She is believed to have moved to Hollywood shortly after graduating, landing a number of small time TV roles, including CBS Summer Playhouse.

Her major Hollywood break came when she was cast as Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis in Full House in 1988, famously referred to as 'Aunt Becky', her most well-known role to date.

After the show ended in 1995, Lori went on to land other small TV parts, before appearing in 90210 as Debbie Wilson from 2008 and 2012.

With her Hollywood career stalling she focused on her family life with her second husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, and their children — YouTube star Olivia, 20, and Isabella, 21.

The couple, who married in 1997, shot back into the limelight in March last year after it was announced they were among 50 individuals charged by the FBI in a large-scale college entrance exam cheating scandal.

They were accused of paying $500,000, disguised as a donation, in order to get their girls into USC.

Loughlin and Giannulli's signed plea agreements on Wednesday. They will only serve months in prison after facing 40 years each

Lori was dropped from the revamped Netflix show Fuller House and blacklisted in Hollywood.

For more than a year they pleaded not guilty and moved to dismiss the case against them as recently as two weeks ago.

But on Thursday it was announced that Lori and Giannulli, 56, had pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges in connection to the nationwide college admissions scam. They pleaded guilty on Friday.

As part of their plea agreement with the US Attorney's Office in the District of Massachusetts Lori will be sentenced to two months in prison while Giannulli will be sentenced to five months in prison.

She faces a $150,000 fine, two years of supervised release and tour phượng hoàng cổ trấn 100 hours of community service, and Giannulli faces a $250,000 fine, two years of supervised release and 250 hours of community service.
