And Jack P Shepherd was every inch the doting father as he went for a stroll with his children Reuben, six, and Nyla Rae, 10, and his girlfriend Hanni Treweek in Manchester on Friday.

The actor, 32, who shares his children with ex girlfriend Lauren Shippey, enjoyed the sunshine before they stopped off in the shops to stock up on essentials.

The TV star cut a casual figure for the outing, donning a white T-shirt with a print of the Grady twins from The Shining.

Jack also sported a pair of black skinny jeans with matching trainers and sunglasses.

The outing comes after Jack looked to be in the full throes of lockdown as he sported a very full beard, which recently featured in a hilarious Instagram video of him imitating X-Men's Wolverine.

Jack was a dead ringer for the character famously played by Hugh Jackman as he went shirtless to do his sweaty workout.

He had found a novel way to keep in shape as he showed he was watching a video of Hugh, 51, rehearsing running on set as Wolverine.

Taking to the caption, he wrote: 'Do I get the part? @thehughjackman'
