Britney Spears fans are in for a treat as she is set to release a mostly unheard song at midnight on Friday.

The song, Moon Ring, was previously only released in Japan as a bonus track on her 2016 album Glory. 

She made the announcement on her Instagram stories Thursday with a bubbly animated video.

'You've been asking for it,' the announcement video read. 'Mood ring. Tonight.' 

The semi-new release will be the first for tour shangrila the 38-year-old star, in the U.S., since Glory's release.

When asked specifically about the stars retirement she was clear 'No, no, no. Obviously, right now, she's just trying to quarantine.'

'She's taking it day by day,' the Mississippi native said. 'And when she wants to make music, she'll make it. I don't think you can ever retire someone from their passion.'  

Though, when asked if the Baby One More Time singer had plans for new music, the former Zooey 101 actress  'I don't think so.'

Britney recently topped Rolling Stone's list of greatest debut singles of all time.

She beat out musical acts as hallowed as The Beatles, The Jackson 5, Led Zeppelin and Radiohead to the top honor, for her 1998 hit ...Baby One More Time.

And Britney herself acknowledged the distinction when she tweeted her thanks to the publication, calling it 'an honor'.

'Number ONE [SCREAMING FACE EMOJI] ??!!?? Thank you @RollingStone ... what an honor [KISSING EMOJIS] !!!!!' wrote the Toxic hitmaker.

Coming in behind her at number 2 was I Want You Back by The Jackson 5, with The Sex Pistols in number 3 with Anarchy in the U.K., and Run-DMC  in fourth spot with their 1984 classic Sucker M.C.'s/It's Like That.Rounding out the top five was Chuck Berry with Maybellene.
