Tyson Fury's former opponent Martin Rogan has backed the Gypsy King to beat Anthony Joshua inside six rounds.  

The 49-year-old only began boxing at the age of 29 and sparred a 17-year-old Fury in 2007.

Fury, tour trung quoc who turned professional in 2008, then went on to beat the Northern Irishman in 2012 in Belfast via technical knockout following a well-timed body shot.

And Rogan has opened up on his experience of facing Fury and tipped his power to be a decisive factor in a fight against unified champion Joshua. 

'When Tyson Fury jabs you, you stay hit for at least 30 seconds,' Rogan told Sky Sports.

'I think Tyson would stop Anthony Joshua in six rounds, if he leans into his punches.






Rogan and Fury sparred in 2007 and fought each other in 2012 where Fury came out on top


'If Tyson Fury would take some advice from an old man like me, the amount of power he has is frightening.'

The comments come as talk of a mega all-British unification bout has intensified following Joshua publicly revealing his desire to fight Fury.

Joshua, the WBA, IBF and WBO holder is still contracted to fight Kubrat Pulev from Bulgaria with the bout delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, while Fury is obliged to a third bout with Deontay Wilder.






And Rogan has now backed Fury to beat Joshua, who regained his titles against Andy Ruiz


But speaking to The Sun, Joshua said: 'Undoubtedly the fight I want is Tyson Fury — he is holding something that I want.

'He says things about me all the time, there is so much back and tour trung quoc forth, but Tyson Fury is only relevant the day me and him sign a contract to fight.

'The day he and I are going to fight is the only time really that I should be talking about Tyson Fury and I don't really want to be in that position where I am talking him down.'
