Arsenal defender David Luiz must take a pay cut of £38,000-a-week if he is to return to Benfica.
The 33-year-old previously spoke of his desire to return to the Portuguese club, for whom he played between 2007 and 2011.
As reported by The Mirror, Benfica have a salary cap of £32,000-a-week, which means Luiz would have to take a significant wage reduction. He currently earns around £120,000-a-week.

There has been much speculation regarding Luiz's future this week after it emerged that he only signed a one-year deal with Arsenal when he joined from Chelsea last summer.
Arsenal have an option to extend Luiz's deal by a further year but have yet to decide whether to activate it.
Luiz played 132 games for Benfica between 2007 and 2011 and has spoken about returning
During his time at Benfica Luiz enjoyed much success, winning the league title and three Portuguese cups.
In total Luiz made 132 appearances for Benfica prior to making the switch to Chelsea.
After moving to Paris Saint-Germain and then returning to Chelsea, Luiz made a surprise switch to Arsenal last year.
He has featured prominently for the Gunners, tour trung quốc playing 32 times, and has shown some signs of improvement since the appointment of Mikel Arteta as head coach.
