Viewers were left in shock by Sir Bob Geldof's rugged appearance on The One show - and joked he looked like he had been in lockdown for years.
Appearing on last night's installment of the BBC show via video link from his home, tour Lệ Giang Bob Geldof, 68, spoke about his new documentary Citizens of Boomtown: The Story of the Boomtown.
However, viewers appeared to be distracted by the topic of conversation, and instead took to social media to discuss his unruly hair, bushy beard and full moustache.
'Bob Geldof been in lockdown since 1984,' wrote one, tour Lệ Giang while a second penned: 'Bob Geldof looks like he's been isolating for 10+ years.'

Linking in his interview from a segment on Chris Packham's Spring Watch, Alex joked: 'From a man looking at wildlife to a man looking more and more wild, honestly, as lockdown goes on, it's Sir Bob Geldof.'

Taking it in good humour, Sir Bob, who donned a purple shirt and appeared to be sitting in his study, replied: 'Well, it was just in preparation for you guys. Another spectacle of nature here. Going wild as you do.'
